Sustainability
FRAMES
Keeping our forests healthy is our prime concern, so we found suppliers who share the same high standards. Our oak frames are made exclusively from 100% natural Pennsylvania wood sourced from the sustainably-managed Allegheny National Forest. Our supplier is certified by the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) which ensures environmentally sound, socially beneficial, and economically prosperous management of the world's forests.
PRINTS
Printing locally was one of the first decisions we made toward sustainable consumption. All of our art products are printed and packaged here in Miami, Florida, and all materials are sourced in the U.S. We proudly work with an FSC-certified North American paperboard mill who supplies our recycled paper, and our inks are water-based and 100% non-hazardous. We use a giclée printing technique that provides vibrant, long-lasting color on our premium art paper, guaranteeing archival conservation of colors with the highest possible age resistance. Our design motto has always been about putting longevity first, so our team and suppliers work together to ensure materials used for Haus and Hues products stand the test of time.
We’re not stopping here. Creating art is our passion, but never at the detriment of our planet. We know there isn’t one easy solution, and our team is constantly researching ways to improve our production process and reduce its impact on the environment.
